Diane Barker Gillingham

  Diane Lynne Gillingham, died Jan. 22, 2016 after a three-
year battle with cancer.  Like so many in the early 40's,
Diane's parents, Charles W. Barker and Lois A, (Haines)
Barker, moved from Montana to work in the shipyards. 
Diane was born in Vancouver, WA on June 1, 1943.  She
attended John Rogers Elementary, Lewis Junior High, and
Hudson's Bay High, graduating with the class of 1961.
     Diane married Don B. Gillingham on Dec 1, 1961.
     She was very active in her children's school activities and
volunteered at grade school level to tutor children in the
HOSTS reading program.
     Diane joined a Bunco group and was a member for
50 years.  In retirement, she enjoyed activities with her
Red Hat Society friends, and also extensive travel.

     Family was very important to Diane,
and she worked hard to be supportive of all.

     Diane is survived by her husband of 54 years, Don:
two sons, Greg (Kelli) and Scott (Cindy): One daughter,
Jodie Rogers (Jay); eight grandchildren, Nick (Emily Rosae),
Alexis, Jamie, Ben, Ian, Emily, Jake, and Jack; two sisters,
Sue Krygier and Betsy Maynard; several nieces and
nephews; and many close friends.
    Diane's parents, and older brother Jim, preceded her in
death
    A funeral service will be held at Evergreen Memorial
Gardens Mon., Feb 8th at 3:00 p.m., followed by a
reception at Club Green Meadows.
